Rescue Background Story

Ailsa arrived at the sanctuary as part of a stem‑cell research program that ultimately did not continue. Rather than being transferred elsewhere, the sanctuary provided her with a permanent home where she could live safely.

The dachshund group quickly accepted her as part of their family, and she now enjoys a calm and social environment. Her days are spent resting with the pack, exploring the house, and interacting with caretakers.

When you donate or sponsor, you become part of their rescue journey — from survival to sanctuary.

Your kindness gives them the second chance they deserve.
