Rescue Background Story

Bella and her daughter Jenny were rescued from a struggling petting zoo where conditions were declining.

After arriving at the sanctuary she quickly adapted to pasture life and now lives with a small herd of female donkeys where she feels safe and secure.

Daily Care & Feeding Details

Morning Feeding

Time: 6 AM

Feed Mix:

24‑hour pasture grazing; when grass is limited the diet is supplemented with hay and a small portion of pelleted horse feed. Treats include Knicker Makers, apples, and carrots.

Evening Feeding

Time: 6 PM

Feed Mix:

Fencing & Enclosure

Bella lives with Jenny, Charlie, and Dolly in a female donkey pasture separated from the males.

Pasture areas are checked daily and feeding areas cleaned to prevent waste buildup.
