Rescue Background Story

Rescue Background Story

Hazel and her brother Hickory were being transported by individuals who originally planned to care for them. However, during the journey those responsible realized they could not continue caring for the young deer.

The transport had already placed significant stress on the animals, and the caretakers feared they might not survive the night without proper care. The sanctuary stepped in and accepted them immediately. After arriving, Hazel was given a safe enclosure, proper nutrition, and attentive care alongside her siblings, allowing her to recover from the stress of transportation.

When you donate or sponsor, you become part of their rescue journey — from survival to sanctuary.

Your kindness gives them the second chance they deserve.
